Mission

Mapaunlad ang Barangay na tapat nagbibigay ng serbisyong pambarangay sa pamamagitan ng matuwid o tama na sistema, epektibong pamumuhay at pampublikong imprastraktura, may malasakit sa kalikasan, may pagmamahal at pang unawa sa kapwa at higit sa lahat ay may takot sa POONG MAYKAPAL.


Vision

Isang Malaya at progresibong barangay na nagtataguyod ng mga prinsipyo at alituntunin ng wastong mamamahala upang maipamalas at maisulong ang katapatan at tungkulin ng mga namumuno at kawani ng barangay at makapagtaguyod ng mga karapatang hakbang sa pagkakaroon ng transparency sa mga transaksyon ng barangay at mamamayan.


History

It was once a sitio of Barangay Nabuslot. It was finally created as an independent barangay in 1935.

According to old stories from old folks, there used to be so many fish caught in the area. Hence, this brought the idea that since there are so many fish caught in the area, it is proper to name it “Pambisan Malaki” (big fishing ground).

The following were the succession of Barangay Lieutenants, Captains and Chairmen of PambisanMalaki from 1941 up to present.

Year 1941 – 1969, Mr. Lucas Sadiwa, Carlos Abel, Ambrosio Mercado, Estanislao Montiano, Pio Esteleydes, Conrado Fernandez, Teofilo Cruzat and Jose Lolong.

During the term of Mr. Jose Lolong, the Barangay Hall and Barangay Health Center were constructed.

Year 1970 – 1980, Mr. Rufo M. Pedraza served as Barangay Captain. During his term, a basketball court, barangay market, waiting shed and roman catholic church were constructed. He was succeeded by Arturo Guerrero, Rafaela Esteleydes, Victor Briones and Ambrosio Lolong. The latter served up to 1989.

Year 1990 – 1994 Mr. Lolong was succeeded by Mr. Crispin Carmona with councilors Agapito Esteleydes, Tereso Briones, Benedicto Hernandez, Danilo Ramos and Agapita Malapote with barangay secretary Sonia Cabaltera and Treasurer Teodoro Abel.

Year 1994 – 1997, Mr. Reynaldo T. Soriano was elected as Punong Barangay with councilors Victor Briones, Alfredo Abel, Henry Lolong, Mario Cabanig, Ernesto Esteleydes, Rufo Pedraza, Jr. and Agapita Malapote with Sk Chairman Alquin Briones and barangay Secretary Avilina L. Pedraza and Treasurer Cesario Mulawin.

Year 1997 - 2002, Mr. Pedrito Hernandezsucceeded Mr. Soriano with councilors Victor Briones, Larry Flores, Victoriano Opis, Nenita Opis, Marcial Mulawin, Mario Cabanig and Arturo Guerrero with secretary Avilina L. Pedraza and treasurer Edison Zamora.

From 2002–2018 Mr. Reynaldo T. Soriano serves as Punong Barangay of Pambisan Malaki. Through his initiative, several barangay projects like road concreting, streetlights, renovation of barangay hall and stock room, construction of open canal and re-gravelling of farm-to-market road were completed.

In the 2018 election Mr. Loreto Flores won as Barangay Captain of Pambisan Malaki.

Pambisan Malaki celebrates its Barangay Fiesta every 13th day of May with Our lady of Fatima as Patron.

Educational, Health and Service Facilities

🔹 It has 1 Day Care Centers, Public Elementary School, Public High School, Barangay Hall, Multi-Purpose Hall and Barangay Health Center.

Mode of Public Transportation

🔹 Barangay Pambisan Malaki is accessible with any kind of land transportation because of its 3 kilometer concrete road that leads to the nautical highway but tricycle and multicab were more popular mode of transportation in the barangay.

Credit Institutions

🔹 There are two credit institutions present in the barangay. Saklaw Foundation Inc. with their president Mrs. Letecia Esteleydes, Card Bank headed by their Center Chief Mrs. Rosita Velarde.

Water & Electric Supply

🔹 Shallow well is the primary source of drinking water in the barangay. Others are dependent on the weekly delivery of the water haulers. There are 30 households or 7.39% of the total households of the barangay are without electricity.

Waste Management

🔹 Waste segregation is present in some part of the barangay. Most of them are burning their garbage.

Peace and Order

🔹 Peace and order situation in the barangay has been maintained and some minor cases have been settled with the help of the Peace and Order Committee, Barangay Officials, Lupong Tagapamayapa and Barangay Tanod.

🌏 Geographical And Resource Endowment

It lies at the south-western part of Pinamalayan. It is bounded on the east by barangay Bangbang on the west by barangay Inclanay, on the south by barangay Maliangcog and on the north by barangay Sta Maria.

It is 12 kilometers away from the poblacion, 6 kilometer from the adjacent municipality of Socorro and 67 kilometers from the Provincial Capitol.

It is 95% plain and 5% hilly. It has a total land area of 467.4232 sq. km.
